Danish Acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen (pictured) on Saturday expressed his country's readiness to provide F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
He stated that the country is prepared to start training Ukrainian pilots to fly and maintain the jets in the near future. The next step, according to Poulsen, would involve the actual transfer of combat aircraft to Ukraine.
However, the transfer is contingent upon other countries agreeing to this step, and it requires approval from the United States since the F-16 is an American-designed aircraft. Poulsen emphasized that Denmark alone cannot donate combat aircraft and that a coalition of countries is necessary.
