NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is set to remain on the position for another year, Politico reported on Thursday, citing four people familiar with the matter.
According to the sources, the decision has already been made and should be formally announced next week.
Earlier reports stated the alliance was looking to extend Stoltenberg's term because it feels it needs a firm leadership aid Russia's war in Ukraine and alleged threats posed by China.
