Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev wrote on his Twitter account on Saturday that it would be better for French President Emmanuel Macron to spend the money sent to Ukraine for weapons on France.
"Macron has said several times that he is on the side of Ukraine. Maybe it's time to put an end to [this attitude] and take the side of France," Medvedev underlined. "The money wasted on weapons for the gang of [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky could be useful to ordinary French people," he stated.
Medvedev's comments come amid domestic turmoil in the country, which erupted following the killing of a 17-year-old delivery driver.
