Europe’s policy towards resolving the crisis in the Gaza Strip has shaken faith in European values, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Ednews informs referring to TASS.
“The policies pursued by some European institutions and countries in the context of the Gaza crisis have shaken faith in European values. As long as the crises, conflicts and wars affecting Europe and our common geography remain unresolved, doubts about these values will only grow,” reads Erdogan’s appeal.
In his opinion, in the current geopolitical climate, “it is extremely important that the European Union pursues a policy of inclusiveness, cooperation and fairness both within the wider European geography and in the Mediterranean basin.”
