The next meetings of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, facilitated by the European Union, are expected to take place in Brussels during the autumn, as well as in Granada within the framework of the European Political Union summit, said Charles Michel, the European Union Council President at a press conference after the meeting held with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Brussels on July 15, Ednews reports.
"I also reiterated my intention to invite the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia to Brussels after the summer, as well as to a five-party meeting with the participation of the leaders of France and Germany within the framework of the next European Political Union summit in Granada," he stated.

During the trilateral meeting in Brussels facilitated by Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia held discussions on six directions, Charles Michel said at the press conference after the meeting, Ednews reports.
He noted that discussions were held between the parties on sovereignty and territorial integrity, border delimitation, relations, humanitarian supplies, rule of law and security, and finally, prisoners.
Charles Michel added that it was agreed at the meeting that the leaders' teams should stay in close contact.
He called on the parties to refrain from harsh rhetoric for the sake of peace and normalization.
Charles Michel noted that another meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia is planned in Brussels.
