UK lifts sanctions against Russian businessman Oleg Tinkov, reads a document published by the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation, Ednews reports.
The reasons for the British government’s this decision have not been revealed.
According to Bloomberg, Tinkov had made an official appeal to the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs asking to be removed from the sanctions list in March.
In his speech, the businessman said that he agrees with the British government’s decision to impose sanctions on persons who support Kremlin and contribute to Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
Note that Oleg Tinkov who has left the Russian Federation condemned Moscow’s war against Ukraine.
