Three people have been killed in a shooting that occurred in Southeast DC, Metropolitan Police Department Acting Chief Pamela Smith confirmed.
"Officers found five individuals who were injured by gunfire. Four of those individuals were males, and one was a female," Smith stated, adding that the two victims, who had been shot, were taken to a nearby hospital.
"This is very disturbing," the police department's acting chief stressed, adding that there could be more injured as a result of the this shooting. "This is not a warzone," Smith stated.
