An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 shook a region in Bangladesh near the border with India, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported on Monday.
The tremor's epicenter was registered 7 kilometers away from Bangladesh's city of Kanaighat, striking at a depth of 10 kilometers, the USGS stated. According to the data, the tremor was felt in Myanmar and Bhutan.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
