United States President Joe Biden stated on Friday that the country has today "the strongest economy in the world." His assessment comes after the latest jobs report. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nonfarm employment increased by 187,000 in August, and the unemployment rate stood at 3.8%.
During his speech at the White House, the president praised the latest figures while adding that the numbers signal a recovery with the "lowest" inflation "among the major economies" in the world.
In addition, Biden noted that the United States had already recovered all the jobs lost during the pandemic. In fact, he added, the country has created 13.5 million jobs since he took office.
