United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed that US President Joe Biden will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Group of 20 summit in New Delhi.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Ramstein, Germany, Sullivan said the two sides will see "meaningful progress on a number of issues," including the fighter jet engine deal between India and General Electric Company, the MQ-9 Reaper drone deal, as well as on critical and emerging technologies and on the "civil nuclear" front.
Biden will hold a number of "more informal" meetings on the margins of the summit as well but a discussion with Chinese Premier Li Qiang is not planned for now, according to Sullivan.
