Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Friday during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky an aid package for the war-hit country worth 650 million Canadian dollars, or $482 million.
Trudeau described the new aid as a "multi-year commitment that provides predictable, steady support to Ukraine" and includes $650 million over three years for 50 armored vehicles and medical evacuation vehicles to be built by the country's workers. He also said that, as part of that package, Canada will supply more Leopard 2 tanks.
Zelensky will also address the Canadian parliament and meet with representatives of Canadian businesses interested in investing in Ukraine.
