A 5.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Mexico, according to data provided by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The tremor struck the region at a depth of 108 kilometers, with the epicenter some 109 kilometers south-southwest of Minatitlan, a city with about 356,020 inhabitants.
