Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said on Tuesday that Moscow "maintains strategic initiative with its troops, methodically reducing the combat potential" of the Ukrainian forces.
"Over the past year, enemy losses exceeded 215,000 people and 28,000 weapons. We retain the strategic initiative along the entire line of contact," he noted at a conference call with the senior staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
Earlier, Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat said that the military needs more anti-aircraft-guided missiles as it has used up a large number in repelling Russian attacks.
