France's foreign minister, Stéphane Séjourné, announced on Monday that he had summoned the Russian ambassador to France following the death of Alexeï Navalny, Ednews reports.
"I have asked for the Russian ambassador to be summoned today at 6.30pm (Paris time)", he announced from a trip to Argentina, saying that "Vladimir Putin's regime has once again shown its true colours".
Paris is following the example of the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Sweden, which took similar decisions on Monday.
