Russian President Vladimir Putin insisted on Thursday in his speech before the Federal Assembly that the country's army has got an "initiative" in Ukraine and is ready to "free" new territories there.
Putin noted that the military managed to gain "colossal" experience in combat and use that to progress. He added that the country's industry is working on new complex arms and equipment. Putin then went on to slam the West for accusing Russia of planning to deploy nuclear weapons in space and denied the rumors.
Moreover, Putin criticized the West, particularly the United States, for beginning another "nuclear arms race" and using Ukraine to defeat Russia on the battlefield and show to its public that Washington is still "ruling the world."
