The spectacle at PACE - the true motives of Europe's hypocritical politics

Ednews reprints an article by Lamiya Rovshengizi, an independent journalist and an employee of the West Azerbaijan Community Office, entitled "The show at PACE - the true motives of Europe's hypocritical policy"

The resolution regarding the non-acceptance of the credentials of the Azerbaijani delegation by the PACE is actually another show and hypocrisy that shows that the forces that raised the issue in this institution have used their powers under the name of building a democratic and progressive society and cannot digest the victories and successes of a country focused on stability and peace. is an instruction.

It is not a secret that the situation in the countries that are zealous in this regard, both economic and human rights-related, is not encouraging at all. For this, it is enough to follow the agenda of the world media arena. The participants of the show, who pretended to be offended and repeatedly mentioned their "concerns" in the adopted resolution, may be aiming to divert attention from the numerous riots that are happening in their countries, which are contrary to international law and are igniting due to the oppression of human rights, which occupy the agenda of the world.

The strengthening of a small country whose territory was divided, which was subject to mass killings and genocide for 30 years in the most recent history, whose economy, army, and morale were destroyed, demanded its rights, fought a war, and returned its occupied lands without any foreign support, and was not satisfied with that, its economy I wonder why the "peace-loving" and "philanthropic" representatives of PACE are not happy with the rebuilding of the razed residential areas from scratch? Isn't the victory over fascism a success? Can it be a better contribution to the integration of Europe, and the building of a democratic society?

The "showmen" of the European Union, who do nothing but pathos and do nothing for democracy or world peace, should not forget that the guarantor and supporter of the policy pursued by the government of Azerbaijan and the head of this country are the people of Azerbaijan, who got rid of 30 years of suffering with the blood of their martyrs. In the last three years, the people of Azerbaijan, who have a sufficient political outlook and multicultural values, have clearly shown to the whole world that they are capable of determining their destiny and sovereignty. Azerbaijan's yesterday and today, the scale of development is obvious. Our secret, disguised, veiled, and hypocritically embellished politics never existed. In which we regularly witness an unfair position against Azerbaijanis and the people of Azerbaijan. Today, it is a very familiar topic that the rights of millions of Western Azerbaijanis, who suffered from Armenian fascism, were displaced from their homelands, and whose national-cultural, heritage, and spiritual values were destroyed, does not bother European "rights lovers". Who has been disturbed by the mass killings that Azerbaijan has suffered in 30 years, the Khojaly genocide, which is a place of shame for humanity, and the graves of civilized people who were killed by torture that are still being discovered in Karabakh?

Unfortunately, what is listed is not pathos or false information, but bitter reality. The pain and reality of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis. But there are other realities. Therefore, as a Western Azerbaijani longing for the land of his birth, I consider it my duty to bring this reminder to attention. PACE representatives trying to blow ash in the eyes of the world community with untruthful information, I wonder if they have any news about their own country?

The arguments of Frank Schwabe, deputy of the German delegation, who proposed not to approve the credentials of the Azerbaijani delegation, can be considered the peak of hypocrisy, the most disgusting scene of the biased show organized against Azerbaijan. According to him, there are political prisoners in Azerbaijan, we forcibly removed Armenians from Karabakh, the visit of PACE co-rapporteurs to Azerbaijan did not take place 3 times, and PACE representatives were not invited to the presidential elections to be held on February 7. In other words, there are bloody riots in which the world is in the grip of wars, where millions of people and babies are killed, and supporting Azerbaijan, which has agreed to sign a peace agreement to bring peace to the South Caucasus, has gone into the background, look at the issue that "worries" people! If such details are really important to prevent global problems, Mr. Schwabe would do well to talk a little about his country. For example, the world's leading media portals contain shocking facts about what is happening in Germany.

Mr. Schwabe, are you aware of the shameful events that are happening in your churches? According to the information in the official investigation materials, the number of victims of sexual violence in both Catholic and Evangelical churches has reached 2225 people. It is said that this is still the tip of the iceberg, the number of victims is increasing. Or, it would be more appropriate to talk about the protests of farmers in your country, which have been going on since last year, and the German economy, which is going into recession. We are well aware that Germany, which increases its population at the expense of migrants and tries to present itself as a helpful state, has experienced the heavy consequences of its failed policy in this area as well.

The best thing you can do is discuss the fate of Ukraine, which you provoked and left halfway through the war. France, which agrees with you, is discussing ending arms sales to Ukraine due to rampant corruption. If French President Macron, who is trying to stick his nose into the South Caucasus instead of cleaning up the black stain of his history like Algeria, wants to be an "example" by bringing his gay friend to the post of prime minister, you can join this trend. But no one is in a position and able to accept this in a country with its national values. We have our laws, our way. If the institution you represent will continue to be formed with this disgusting, inhumane, mutated thinking, of course, it is impossible and undesirable for a country as cosmopolitan as Azerbaijan, which values human qualities, to stand with you.

Regarding the forced removal of Armenians from Karabakh, dear PACE representatives, if you remember, in 2018, the Azerbaijani delegation presented the photos of 2-year-old Zahran, who was killed together with her grandmother as a result of the fire opened by Armenians, and spoke about the children who suffered from the war, were killed, and lived as refugees in Azerbaijan. You remained silent at that time. As you turn a blind eye to Khojaly. Finally, we restored justice ourselves. But there are still those who yearn for their homeland and the grave of their grandfathers. Thousands of Western Azerbaijanis who were expelled from present-day Armenia, from their historical land, want to return to their homeland without raising any land claims. After all, they took us out by force!!!

All that remains is for the presidential elections... The words and signature of the leader of Azerbaijan are always valuable and important for this nation! Because this signature is thrown with Iron Fist! On February 7, this fist will be stronger and more monolithic! Those of us who do not need to stand in a row may not observe this ceremony! The people of Azerbaijan will not go to the election on February 7, but to pay the debt of loyalty to their National Hero.
