The head of the Department of Cultural,Diplomatic and Strategic Studies Centre of the University of Paris Dr.Najia Selin Shenocak gave an interview to Eurasia Diary about Operation 'Euphrates Shield' of Turkey .
Operation 'Euphrates Shield' was managed when the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited to Russia. External forces which are eager to destabilize Turkey with the help of FETO and faced failing aims to threaten Turkey through isis and pkk terrorist organizations.
The main aim of the operation is mainly to dispose and destroy the isis from the region completely and another main goal is to prevent the establishment of “Independent Kurdistan” with the support of the United States on the border with Turkey as well. Foundation of ‘Independent Kurdistan” is a part of Great Middle East Project.
At the terms of former president of the USA George W. Bush former US foreign secretary Condoleezza Rice announced the aims of that project offically on the article issued in "Washington Post" newspaper on 7 August 2003. “ The borders and regimes of 22 Muslim countries from Morocco to Pakistan including Turkey will change”. Former minister explained the targets of USA at the region as well.
The region between Azez-Cerablus including turkey has of great strategic importance both turkey and security of Turkmens living there. Under the scenario of America turkmen villages in north of Raqqah and Tel Abyad while moving to PYD ,ISIS-free zones were released with the threat that "If you do not leave,there will be bombed by usa aircrafts" .It means that Turkmens were forced to move to the territory controlled by ISIS.
Free Syrian Army with the support of turkish armed forces taking the control over the Jerablus shocked the America's strategy in the region and was great step in order to stabilize the region.
In other words, America announced forcibly their support for Operation 'Euphrates Shield' in order to not to get an image of country suppoting terrorism in the region.
Noted that on Wednesday Turkish troops and special forces backed by the Free Syria Army launched operation "Euphrates Shield" against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) to liberate the strategic Syrian city of Jarablus on the border with Turkey.
About 40 Turkish tanks and 2,000 Free Syrian Army fighters have entered into Jarablus around midday, shortly after Turkish air forces conducted raids targeting ISIL positions in Jarablus.
The Turkish army ordered the evacuation of Karkamis, a Turkish town on the border with Jarablus, a day before the operation began.
The battle for Jarablus lasted 14 hours before the FSA announced on its Twitter account that they captured the city and raised the Syrian Revolution flags over its buildings.
