A decree on pulling Maria Jesus Alonso Jimenez from Argentina as Spanish ambassador has been published in the official government gazette of the kingdom.
Ednews informs via TASS that the decision was made amid a serious diplomatic row in relations between Madrid and Buenos Aires.
The document contains an order to "remove Maria Jesus Alonso Jimenez from the post of Ambassador of Spain to the Argentine Republic." The decree was published about a week after the government of the kingdom decided to finally recall the ambassador from the Latin American country.
Relations between Spain and Argentina are facing a serious diplomatic crisis, during which the parties have expressed unflattering words towards each other. In June, the President of the Republic, Javier Milei, is expected to visit the kingdom, where a local think tank has awarded him a prize.
