Hezbollah claimed on one of its alleged social media pages on Tuesday that its forces "killed or wounded" all members of an Israeli unit that was discovered "in Al-Khazan hill, in the vicinity of the Al-Asi site" near the border between Lebanon and Israel.
The Israeli unit was supposedly directly hit with guided missiles, according to the social media post.
The Israel Defense Forces later commented that "anti-tank missiles were fired at two IDF military posts near the border with Lebanon" and that "the IDF is responding toward the sources of fire" without clarifying if they were referring to the same incident. "IDF artillery is currently striking in Lebanon" after "two failed launches identified from Lebanon did not cross into Israel," the Israeli military also revealed.
