The agreement regarding the swap of hostages between Israel and Hamas does not include Palestinian prisoners convicted of murder, local media reported on Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The deal involves the liberation of at least 50 Israeli hostages and the entry of fuel and other first-aid goods to the Gaza Strip in exchange for a four- to five-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the liberation of between 150 and 300 Palestinian prisoners. According to the source, around ten hostages will be released daily during the ceasefire period.
However, Israel will not allow civilians to return to the northern region of Gaza, where the operations will continue after the ceasefire ends.
