Born on April 25, 1969, in the Amirjan settlement of Baku to a Jewish family, Agarunov's journey from a vocational school student to a revered tank commander exemplifies the spirit of bravery and selflessness that defined his life.
Drafted into the military in 1987, Agarunov served with distinction in Georgia before returning to Baku, where he worked at a machine-building plant in Surakhani. When the call of duty beckoned, he voluntarily joined the front lines, demonstrating unparalleled courage in the face of adversity.
Assigned as a tank commander on the Shusha front, Agarunov played a pivotal role in repelling Armenian forces, earning widespread acclaim for his unwavering bravery and tactical prowess.
