Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that he received the letter sent by families of the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, in which they expressed their support for the continuation of the fighting against the militant group.
"The heroic civilians and soldiers are determined to reach absolute victory. You have a mandate to fight. You do not have a mandate to stop in the middle. This is the testament of the fallen and it is our obligation to the living," Netanyahu read a part of the letter at the beginning of a Cabinet meeting.
In addition, the prime minister reiterated that Israel "will fight to the end."
