Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh stated Thursday that the Israeli government has failed in its military objectives against Hamas in its offensive in the Gaza Strip. He expressed that during his meeting with Iran’s acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri in Doha.
According to the Islamic Republic News Agency, Haniyeh thanked Iran for its support and highlighted that Hamas should have total freedom to fight Israel. "It is necessary to take advantage of all capacities to make the aggression and crime of the Zionists costly and the resistance should not be limited to armed resistance against the invaders," he said.
In addition, the Qatari part complimented the Hamas' strength in coping with the eight-month conflict.
