Uzbekistan offers to import meat from Kyrgyzstan

Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan officials met to discuss increase foreign trade turnover

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan Amangeldi Isayev met with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Komil Rashidov, the Ministry of Agriculture said, AkiPress writes.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the roadmap to increase foreign trade turnover, in particular, agricultural products.

One of the roadmap points was the construction of a trade and logistics center in Kyrgyzstan, with further promotion of Kyrgyz and Uzbek agricultural products in China, but the Uzbek side has not identified an authorized body to address this issue.

During the meeting, the Uzbek side proposed to import Kyrgyz meat and export it's poultry meat to Kyrgyzstan. During the discussion, the sides agreed to work out issues of cooperation in the agricultural sector, the statement said.
