Today in Sofia, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on the promotion of cooperation between Bulgaria's "Bulgartransgas", Romania's "Transgas", Hungary's FGSZ, Slovakia's "Eustream" and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) was held, Ednews reports.
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the promotion of cooperation between Bulgaria's Bulgartransgaz, Romania's Transgaz, Hungary's FGSZ, Slovakia's Eustream and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is taking place today in Sofia.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of Bulgaria Rossen Hristov, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Energy of Romania Virgil-Daniel Popescu, Minister of Economy of Slovak Republic Karel Hirman and Executive Director of Bulgartransgaz company Vladimir Malinov attend the ceremony.
The MoU defines the directions of cooperation between 4 transmission system operators and SOCAR for the supply of additional gas from Azerbaijan to Europe. The additional gas supply will be carried out through the upgraded transmission network systems of Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia, which is called Solidarity ring.
