Azerbaijan has spent more than $6.6 billion on reconstruction work in Karabakh over the past three years, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov has said.
He made the remarks while addressing the 56th annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Ednews reports.
Noting that during the occupation, the entire physical and social infrastructure was completely destroyed, Sharifov said that it was necessary to carry out demining work before the restoration work.
Stressing that more than $6.6 billion has been spent on rehabilitation and reconstruction over the past three years, the minister pointed out that due to its strategic geographical location, the region has great economic potential.
