Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), part of AZCON Holding, has expanded its fleet with another state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo aircraft, EDnews reports citing AZAL.
According to the airline, the introduction of the new aircraft is aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and providing a more modern travel experience.
The Airbus A320neo features the advanced Airspace cabin concept, offering a more spacious interior, specially designed seats, and larger overhead baggage compartments. The aircraft is also equipped with a modern in-flight entertainment system, high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, and individual monitors in Business Class.
Powered by next-generation engines, the Airbus A320neo delivers improved fuel efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and the ability to operate effectively on regional and medium-haul routes with a range of up to 6,300 kilometers.
AZAL noted that the addition of the new aircraft will contribute to increasing operational efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and environmental impact, improving service quality, and expanding opportunities for launching flights to new destinations.
The newly acquired aircraft is the fourth Airbus A320neo in AZAL's fleet, which currently consists of 28 aircraft.
As part of its long-term development strategy, AZAL plans to expand its fleet to 50 aircraft by 2032. The airline says the latest addition represents another important step in its fleet modernization program and will further strengthen Baku’s position as one of the region’s leading air transport hubs.
