Israel witnesses the most fierce battle over government throughout its history.
According to Times of Israel, after the results of the election, defiant Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared announced that he is not going anywhere. He also accused opposition parties of stealing votes in undemocratic ways. Netanyahu claims that his Likud party won more three seats than Kahol Lavan (Blue and White), the main opposition party.
The main rival of Netanyahu the leader of Blue and White party, former military chief Benny Gantz vowed to form the government, Haaretz reports.
"I will do anything in my power to prevent a fourth election," he said.
Gantz stated earlier that "there are many options on the table, and all of them will be heard soon." He also said that Netanyahu ignored the results of the election and that he intended to "act to get Israel out of the mud and the circle of incitement that Netanyahu dragged us into."
