Today, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran signed a memorandum on the establishment of new communications between the East Zangazur economic region of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan via Iran, said Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, APA reports.
He said that bridges will be built in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan - from Zangilan, Agband village to Iran over the Araz River: “A new project has been launched, including roads and railways, as well as power lines. It is a corridor connecting Turkey, Iran and Azerbaijan. It will also be a new corridor in Eurasia that will change the entire transport landscape. Of course, our countries have benefited from this. But who did not win? Armenia! We will not wait for it because Armenia does not want it. "Azerbaijan will continue this positive agenda."
Hajiyev called the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of new communication links between the Eastern Zangazur economic region of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic via Iran a historic event.
