The signing of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership brought the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan to an unprecedented level, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliyev told Report, commenting on the visit of President Sadyr Japarov.
“The visit to Azerbaijan was of a historical nature, it was timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation and took place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. The leaders of our states discussed a wide range of issues of deepening interstate relations, situation in the region and topical issues of international development,” the ambassador said.
He noted that the main result of the visit is “the establishment of strategic partnership relations, which brought the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani cooperation to an unprecedented level.”
“As President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov noted, today’s profound transformations in the world provide a historic chance to build a new type of relationship between the two countries. In turn, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stressed that strategic partnership is both a great advantage and a great responsibility,” said the ambassador.
Kairat Osmonaliyev reminded that the bilateral talks between the leaders of the two countries were marked by the signing of a number of documents: “They identified areas of mutual interest, outlined specific steps to implement the agreements reached. I believe that the Interstate Council created is a unique platform that will increase the pace of interaction between the parties and will enhance the efficiency of the implementation of joint projects.”
