The Organization of Turkic States has issued a statement in connection with the illegal exploitation of natural resources in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
“This caused peaceful protests by representatives of the civil society in Azerbaijan. The illegal exploitation of the natural resources of Azerbaijan, their export to Armenia, the illegal presence of the remnants of the Armenian armed forces on the territory of Azerbaijan and the mining of the country’s territories undermine the process of normalizing relations between the parties and do not serve to ensure peace and stability in the region,” reads the statement.
The Organization of Turkic States Secretariat called for an immediate cessation of the aforementioned illegal actions and expressed support for all the efforts of Azerbaijan.
