EU Council adopted a decision to extend the mandate of Toivo Klaar, the Special Representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus and Georgia crisis, for an additional year, until 31 August 2024, Ednews reports.
Toivo Klaar was appointed EU Special Representative for the crisis in the South Caucasus and Georgia on November 13, 2017. Its task is to contribute to the peaceful resolution of conflicts in the region, as well as to promote regional cooperation between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia and, respectively, these neighboring countries.
