It has been unveiled in what directions Azerbaijan and Georgia will cooperate in the field of defense under the the Agreement, Ednews reports.
This was reflected in the draft law Act "Agreement on Defense Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Georgia" which was discussed at today's meeting of the Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption Committee of the Milli Majlis.
Azerbaijan and Georgia will cooperate in the following areas according to the draft law:
- military education, training, and exercises;
- defense and security policy;
- peacekeeping and humanitarian operations;
- Cooperation within the Partnership for Peace program of NATO;
- arms control and disarmament;
- military legislation;
- financial-technical supply;
- civil-military cooperation;
- cyber security in the field of defense;
- military cartography;
- military medical services;
- social, sports and cultural events;
- humanitarian demining;
- other matters of mutual interest.
