On January 25, the next meeting of the International Eurasian Press Foundation (IEMF) was held at the Tartar Regional Vocational Training Center with a part of the delegation that will participate as observers in the Presidential elections in Azerbaijan on February 7.
Ednews reports that a part of the organization's independent observer team took part in the meeting. İEPF President Umud Mirzayev presented the observers' ID cards to them.
U. Mirzayev spoke about the election process, rights and duties of observers. He said that on the day of the election, the observation activities of İEPF will be coordinated from a single center:
"Our observers will regularly collect and disseminate objective information on the election day. At the end, a final report on the presidential election will be prepared. This final report will also be sent to international organizations," he said.
U. Mirzayev once again reminded the rules adopted by the Central Election Commission regarding observers:
41.1.1 the election process should not be influenced for the sake of the interests of a candidate or a political party.
41.1.2. all circumstances and facts relevant to the observed actions must be taken into account;
41.1.3. observation should be done openly;
41.1.4. the conclusions of the observation should be based on facts.
It should be noted that none of the employees involved in the surveillance by İEPF have any political affiliation.
It should be noted that İEPF, which directly participated in the creation of election coalitions in 2008 and 2013, was selected for its active activity in the elections held in other years.
