Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made positive statements about the return of 4 villages, border and peace issues, and also said that he wants to end hostilities and establish relations with Azerbaijan. But does he have a plan of action in this direction, can we finally trust his sincerity?
Regarding the issue political scientist Natig Miri said that this is not just a matter of Pashinyan's sincerity. According to him, this means that Pashinyan and the government have already understood the situation and that the alternative is not in the interests of Armenia:
"It was a necessary step, and the main event was the meeting on April 5 in Brussels under the leadership of the US-EU-Armenia. After the meeting, Pashinyan realized that no power center will solve Armenia's problems. The policy of achieving what they want by pressuring Azerbaijan with these centers of power will fail. After realizing this, they immediately took action on different levels, and certain agreements were reached. They also know that the alternative is that if the lands are not returned peacefully, Azerbaijan will return them by force. The conflict can have serious consequences for Armenia with both human and territorial losses. This can put the government in a very difficult position in public opinion."
