Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning accused NATO on Tuesday of interfering with China's internal affairs and "seriously challenging" its interests and security. She also said the alliance "distorts and denigrates" China's domestic and foreign policies, Ednews informs.
Mao's comments come after NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in an interview with Japanese newspaper Yomiuri that China is aiding the Russian side in the war with Ukraine by providing technology used to make weapons. He added NATO does not see China as a rival but he accused Beijing of challenging the alliance's interests and security.
