Life is now returning to the liberated village. The foundation of the village was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on May 4, 2023.
“EDnews” reports that, regional correspondent visited Jahangirbeyli and prepared a report on the construction work being carried out.
Our destination is the Jahangirbeyli village of Zangilan. Our road passes through the liberated territories. While on one side, the villages destroyed during the 30-year occupation are visible, on the other, the reconstructed settlements and places turned into construction sites attract attention. It is felt that our villages, which are in their fifth year of independence, are literally coming back to life.
We pass through the Jabrayil district and enter the Zangilan territory. Finally, we reach the Jahangirbeyli village, surrounded by mountains. This settlement, devastated by the enemy, has now turned into a large construction site. Houses are being built, and the sounds of equipment can be heard from all sides. All work is being carried out in accordance with modern standards and quickly.
We are talking to Ilhamiya Rzayeva, head of the public relations department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Jabrayil, Gubadli, Zangilan districts. She reports that construction work is underway on 242 individual residential houses within the framework of the first stage of construction of the Jahangirbeyli village of Zangilan. The total designed area of the village is 179 hectares, and construction work is currently being carried out on an area of 62 hectares in the first stage.
The houses being built in Jahangirbeyli consist of 2-3-4-5 rooms. Two-story houses have 5 rooms. At the same time, a school building, kindergarten, administrative building, market complex, and multifunctional building are also being built in the village.
In general, the bulk construction work has been completed in most of the houses, the roofing of some has been completely completed, and internal repair and decoration work is being carried out in some. Currently, internal communication systems are also being laid in the houses. Along with construction work, the settlement is also planned to install facilities, water pipes and drainage lines to manage flood and rainwater.
In short, Jahangirbeyli is in a hurry to welcome its residents. Like all territories liberated from occupation and rebuilt by the Azerbaijani state, the day is not far off when the sound of clatter and clanging will come from the houses in this settlement.
