On Sunday, September 10 at approximately 13:30, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army Eminov Khayyam Mahal was wounded when he was blown up by an anti-personnel mine laid by Armenian formations on the way to supply Azerbaijani units in the Agdam region.
In recent times, remnants of the Armenian armed forces in the Karabakh economic region and illegal Armenian armed groups have been observing the massive laying of new mines in our territories, thus continuing the policy of mine terrorism against Azerbaijan.
Umud Mirzayev, the president of the International Eurasia Press Fund, and chairman of the Public Council under ANAMA, told Ednews that Armenian vandals buried mines in every inch of these areas and laid anti-personnel mines and cluster mines. It happens that 10-15 mines are cleared from a 1 square meter area. Armenian terrorism must be stopped:
"Educational work is also being done in this field in our country. It implements a number of programs by international organizations. ANAMA does special work in this direction, and at the same time pays special attention to it. In this direction, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the UN Children's Fund, and the Development Program support and implement a number of projects. In addition, accidents also happen. The most important and the first reason is the massive pollution of the territories of Azerbaijan.
Therefore, international organizations and institutions pay serious attention to this painful problem for Azerbaijan.
I urge the superpowers of the world that this terrorism must be stopped. Support to a terrorist group living in Karabakh must be stopped. The terrorist forces that looted the wealth of Karabakh and used our lands for drug trade for many years created these problems. I appeal to the world's leading organizations to support Azerbaijan. For more than 20 years, IEPF has been working in partnership with ANAMA in the "Mine Action Program". We talk to our employees every day and instruct them to strictly follow the safety rules."
According to U. Mirzayev, each of us should be united, as in the 44-day war, and urge everyone to protect themselves from the threat of landmines:
"Large-scale mining of territories in Karabakh is actually considered a big disaster for the region and a serious environmental problem. Along with large-scale destruction in Karabakh and its surrounding regions, the irregular burial of landmines is creating great difficulties for Azerbaijan. The lack of maps of mined areas creates serious obstacles for Baku in important measures, from the implementation of infrastructure projects in the region to the return of internally displaced persons to their ancestral lands. But this does not mean that the people of Azerbaijan will not live in their homeland. "The Great Return" to Karabakh is being implemented today, and it is happening quickly.
It should be noted that the wounded soldier was immediately evacuated to a military medical facility. Nothing threatens his life.
