A significant number of explosive devices have been found in certain administrative buildings located in the territory of the city of Kankendi. During the operations carried out by ANAMA employees, hand grenades disguised in surprise shapes were discovered inside pipes at the entrance of the area, as well as trap devices containing hand grenades and various high-explosive military ammunition in the drawers, behind the curtains, in the pockets of military vests, in the basement of the building. Additionally, improvised explosive devices consisting of mortar shells, fragmentation bomblets, and VOQ-17 weapon grenades were found in order to detonate from a height and create fragmentation in a wide radius.
Speaking to Ednews about the issue, Umud Mirzayev, president of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), and chairman of the Public Council under ANAMA, noted that Armenian separatists who leave the lands use different methods. He noted that all citizens of our country who are engaged in any activity in the region, searching for mines, carrying out social and humanitarian projects, and working on security, should never lose their vigilance.
"They should think about safety first. The confiscated weapons and ammunition after a one-day operation show how important the Armenian separatists have been to arming. All their activities and intentions were only destructive issues. They did not think at all about thinking creatively, building, creating, or working for people's welfare. Like other regions of Karabakh, including Khankendi and its surroundings, it is clear from the images that they spent all their energy on these things. Therefore, our call is that it is unequivocally prohibited to go to the regions liberated from occupation without permission. The second issue is that people who leave should not operate in the region without familiarizing themselves with educational materials and passing certain instructions. Perhaps, it is impossible to see mine surprises caused by Armenians against Azerbaijan anywhere in the world. The separatists directed all their talents against us."
