The International Association Football Federation (FIFA) is planning to lift the sanctions against Russian junior U-17 teams that kept them out of tournaments and qualifying competitions from February 2022 when they were suspended after that country's actions escalated on Ukraine's territory, Sky News reported on Wednesday.
According to the media, the lifting of the ban could be formally published by today and would follow UEFA's similar decision by allowing the country's under-17 players into its competitions this season with the condition of not exposing national items like kit, flag, or singing their anthem.
Earlier, the English Football Association (FA) complained about UEFA's decision.
