Red Bull's Max Verstappen has taken the pole position for the Qatar Grand Prix after qualifying first on Friday.
In this way, Verstappen takes his tenth pole position of the 2023 season. George Russell was second in today's qualifying with a time of 1:24.219, followed by Mcaren's Oscar Piastri.
"I want to win on Sunday. We put it on the pole and naturally, you want to win the race but let's make sure tomorrow we have a good day. I think the car is quick," Verstappen commented at the end of the race. After today's result, Verstappen could clinch his third driver's championship title on Saturday.
