The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and German sporting goods giant Adidas have unveiled the official ball that will be used at the 2024 European Championship in Germany, the press service of the organization reported.

The ball will be called Fussballliebe. The release informs that, for the first time, the ball will be equipped with technology that helps referees make calls during video reviews.

"The UEFA European Football Championship stands as the pinnacle of national team competition in Europe and we are committed to ensuring that every aspect, from the venues to the equipment, upholds the highest standards of quality and performance. We are, as always, confident that Adidas' FUSSBALLLIEBE will mark another stride in our shared dedication to excellence," the press service cited Zvonimir Boban, UEFA’s technical director and chief of football.

The 2024 European Championship will be held in Germany. The top two teams from each of the selection groups will automatically qualify for the tournament. The remaining participants in the tournament will be determined after facing off in the Nations League playoffs. On February 28, 2022, the UEFA and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) suspended Russian clubs and national teams from participating in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
