Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid's coach, extended his contract with the football club until June 30, 2026.
"In his five seasons as Real Madrid coach, he has won 10 trophies: 2 Champions League titles, 2 Club World Cups, 2 Uefa Super Cups, 1 LaLiga title, 2 Copa de Rey trophies and 1 Spanish Super Cup," the football club detailed in a statement.
Ancelotti is the most decorated manager in the history of UEFA Champions League, winning the competition four times (two times with AC Milan and two times with Real Madrid). He initially led Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015, and later returned in 2021. The Brazilian Football Confederation was hoping to hire Ancelotti to manage the national team after his contract with Real Madrid expires in June 2024, however, the club's new offer crushed these dreams.
