The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has calculated that from February 24 to December 6, 2022, a total of 7,832,493 refugees from Ukraine arrived in Europe, according to the UNHCR Office,TASS reports.
According to the UNHCR, Russia received the most refugees - 2,852,395 people. This is followed by Poland (1,529,355), Germany (1,021,667), Czech Republic (467,862), Italy (173,231), Spain (156,753), Bulgaria (146,659), UK (147,800), France (118,994) and Slovakia (102,873). In other states, this number doesn’t exceed 100,000. Presently, 4,805,531 refugees are included in national temporary protection and support programs.
According to the UNHCR, since February 24, as many as 16,087,565 people have arrived from Ukraine in neighboring countries. At the same time, 8,309,718 people crossed the border in the opposite direction.
