The Group of Seven (G7) countries agreed to coordinate actions to minimize the risks associated with the unpredictability of Russian gas exports, the Japanese ministry of environmental protection announced on Sunday, Ednews reports.
According to the ministry, the Group acknowledged the success of measures implemented already to decrease gas demand and diversify sources of supply, emphasizing its commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. "We reaffirm the G7's commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 across the entire fossil fuel extraction and production chain," the ministry noted.
