The Japanese ministry of environmental protection on Sunday announced that the Group of Seven (G7) agreed to provide wind energy generation of up to 150 gigawatts by 2030, as well as up to 1 terawatt using solar panels, Ednews informs via foreign media.
According to the Nikkei newspaper, as a result of wind generation in the G7 countries, seven times more electricity will be produced compared to 2021, and solar panels will increase three times compared to the same period.
The Group agreed on the matter at its latest talks in Sapporo held on Saturday and Sunday.
