European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell (pictured) said on Friday that the EU has so far trained over 16,000 Ukrainian soldiers. In addition, it has supplied more than €600 million in ammunition and missiles since February, as the bloc continues to work on joint procurement in order to keep providing Ukraine with military support.
Ednews reports that in a call with Borrell, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba thanked the EU for its assistance and called on Borrell to help finalize discussions on the second €1 billion joint procurement tranche "as soon as possible to ensure security in Europe."
