An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 struck the Pacific island country of Tonga, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said on Wednesday.
EDnews informs via foreign media that the quake's epicenter was registered 75 kilometers northwest of the village of Hihifo, at a depth of 213 kilometers. No tsunami warning has been issued following the tremor.
There have been no immediate reports of potential damage or casualties yet.
