United States National Security Council chief spokesman John Kirby claimed on Monday that Iran has handed over more than 400 armed drones to Russia since August 2022.
EDnews informs via CNN that Moscow has already used most of the unmanned aerial vehicles but the two sides are working on more military exchanges, including focusing on advanced weapons, the White House official told reporters. Iran, described by Kirby as Russia's main military supporter, wants to acquire Russia-made military equipment worth "billions of dollars".
Despite the Moscow-Tehran military partnership expanding, the US has not yet detected any plans by the two countries to cooperate on ballistic missiles, Kirby clarified.
