Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told TASS on Saturday that the accreditation of journalists from unfriendly states to major events in Russia will be contingent on the behavior of both the publications themselves and Western countries in general, Ednews informs via Reuters.
Peskov's comments came in response to the exclusion of representatives from Western media at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in 2023. While foreign reporters had the opportunity to watch the plenary session live, Peskov made it clear that there will be no more "business as usual" and that Russia will be prepared to receive Western reporters, but not tolerate an unfavorable attitude towards Russian journalists abroad.
